Nashville drivers, brace yourselves.
According to WKRN, I-65 will be completely shut down in both directions between the I-40 interchange downtown and near I-440 from Friday, October 16th, at 8pm through Monday, October 19th, at 5am while crews demolish the damaged Hamilton Avenue bridge. A couple of nearby ramps will also close, and once the weekend work wraps up, expect additional nighttime lane closures while the bridge is rebuilt.
With TSU and Vanderbilt both celebrating Homecoming this weekend, traffic is going to be even worse than usual…which is saying something in Nashville. Good luck out there, y’all.
