Look who dropped by while he was in town!!
We covered a lot in this conversation, from Papa Roach’s surprise show on Broadway to their collaboration with Carrie Underwood and who Jacoby would love to work with next. He also gave us an early listen to two brand new Papa Roach songs ahead of their release, opened up about mental health and what keeps him inspired, and made it clear he’s getting out of Nashville before the snow hits. Can’t blame him there!!
On a personal note, this interview felt pretty surreal. I’ve wanted to talk to Jacoby Shaddix for a long time, and I somehow unknowingly manifested it… in a podcast episode I recorded just days earlier, I mentioned he was on my interview bucket list, and then a couple days later I got the word that he was coming into the studio. He was also genuinely one of the most personable, down-to-earth people I’ve ever met, and all the good things I’ve heard about him over the years proved to be true. He’s a good one, for sure.
