This is PERFECT for the “Nashville is apparently never finished renovating itself” category.
According to WKRN, the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge is getting another major upgrade, with the East Bank Development Authority approving up to $75 million to extend the bridge more than 700 feet across the East Bank toward the new Nissan Stadium and the planned Tennessee Performing Arts Center campus. The extension will also be at least 35 feet wide and is supposed to make getting between downtown and the rapidly developing East Bank safer and easier.
And honestly, at this point I feel like we shouldn’t be surprised if they slap a rooftop bar, luxury apartments and a 14-foot-tall neon guitar on it before they’re finished. Read more from WKRN HERE.
