Cult Movie Icon Tim Curry Dead at 80

The entertainment world is mourning the loss of Tim Curry, who has reportedly died at 80, according to TMZ. He was one of those rare actors who could make absolutely anything unforgettable, from his legendary turn as Dr. Frank-N-Furter in The Rocky Horror Picture Show to his terrifying portrayal of Pennywise in Stephen King’s It. Basically, if you grew up watching weird, creepy or cult-classic movies, Tim Curry was probably somewhere in your childhood.

And after losing Dolly Parton yesterday, this feels like another brutal one. Two wildly different icons, but both had that rare ability to become a permanent part of our culture.
