If you’re going downtown for the fireworks this weekend, or if you’re going anywhere near downtown this weekend, many roads will be closed in preparation for the big celebration.
According to FOX 17, the biggest closures drivers should expect include:
- Broadway will close in phases beginning Friday. By Saturday afternoon, Broadway will be closed from First Avenue to Eighth Avenue.
- First Avenue along the Riverfront between Korean Veterans Boulevard and Church Street, with additional closures extending north to Union Street.
- Rep. John Lewis Way between Demonbreun Street and Commerce Street.
- Inbound lanes on Korean Veterans Boulevard into downtown close beginning at 6 a.m. Saturday.
