Faith No More fans spent about 24 hours losing their collective minds after the band posted a cryptic image featuring their logo and one simple message: “2027.” No explanation. No details. Just enough to send the internet into full conspiracy mode.
Turns out, the speculation may have been justified. Bassist Billy Gould has since confirmed that the band is planning to return to the stage, saying, “Yeah, we’re gonna do it. We’re gonna play.” The reunion would mark Faith No More’s first live shows since 2016 after years of uncertainty surrounding the band’s future.
For longtime fans, this is a pretty big deal. The band’s planned comeback was derailed in 2021 when dates were canceled amid concerns over Mike Patton‘s mental health, and there have been plenty of questions about whether Faith No More would ever return at all. Now it sounds like the answer is yes. No tour dates have been announced yet, but if you’ve been waiting to hear “Epic” live again, 2027 is suddenly looking a whole lot more interesting.
