I can’t believe I’m having to remind people to quit throwing things on stage while the band is playing, but here we are…
Bring Me The Horizon played a show in St. Louis earlier this week, and four songs in, somebody in the crowd chucked their phone at him. It happened pretty fast, but apparently it hit him square in the face. You can see the [NSFW] video below… “Who the fook just threw a phone at my fooking head?”
If you’ve ever dropped your phone on your face while lying down scrolling (we all have), it hurts. Now imagine it getting yeeted right at your face.
It must’ve been a heavy hit, because Oli posted to his Instagram story recently an update:
“Alright everyone – Just wanted to let you know I’m all good. The phone to the head definitely smarted and I ended up with a mild concussion, but the swelling’s gone down a decent amount already. Last night I was struggling a bit onstage afterwards because singing was putting a lot of pressure on the wound and making things feel a bit disorienting while performing, so I’m sorry on my part for what may of seemed like a half hearted performance. Appreciate everyone checking in and worry about me though. Everything should be fine for tonight’s gig. – Oli xx.”
Based on recent events (ahem *Take Our Tickets Tour*) I can reiterate that π YOU π DO π NOT π THROW π THINGS π AT π PEOPLE π TO π GET π THEIR π ATTENTION. You know who you are… Thanks for your attention to this matter.
Like what the fuck WHO DOES THIS AT SHOWS??? Oli hasnβt come down catwalk since this :/ pic.twitter.com/oMoO39LGxY
