History was made on ‘Wheel of Fortune’ last night when Christina Derevjanik spun her way into the record books, taking home the show’s highest jackpot ever.
The Stamford, Connecticut native made her way to the final spin where Ryan Seacrest grabs the final envelope that could have “One Million” printed on it (spoiler alert – it does) and all Derevjanik had to do was solve the final puzzle to claim the prize. Well, she cracked it faster than most of us can say “R-S-T-L-N-E” and when Seacrest opens the envelope it’s revealed she’d bagged a million bucks making her only the fourth person to ever win that on the show.
She didn’t stop there, with a trip to Tokyo and $35,155 already racked up during the game, her total haul is the largest ever taken home since the show began. That’s enough to buy a vowel, a consonant, and probably the entire alphabet!
