Festival season is almost here. Although we’re stoked to check out more music festivals this year like Bonnaroo and Louder Than Life, these massive music festivals cost a pretty penny to attend. Unless, of course, you win tickets from us… Shameless plug!
The cost of music festivals has skyrocketed in the past decade, and it’s not JUST because of inflation. FinanceBuzz observed 15 major music festivals to find out just how much music fest prices have increased.
One of the major key findings of this study is that in total, “daily general admission prices for major music festivals have risen by 55% since 2014. The actual rate of inflation in that same time is 32%.”
Bonnaroo in Manchester, TN was one of the festivals they observed. The first year of Bonnaroo was held in 2002, and a ticket cost $33 to attend. A ticket to Bonnaroo in 2024 is… nowhere near that much.
Some music festivals have increased their prices as much as 97%!! Read more from FinanceBuzz HERE.
