Remember that wild Zillow listing that went viral over a year ago? A giant 9,000 sq. foot mansion in Franklin was heavily damaged in a fire, and despite the fact that the house was partially destroyed, it was still listed for sale at $1.5 million. Click HERE to see the story and view the Zillow listing.
The Zillow listing even stated “TRAGIC TOTAL LOSS BY FIRE! SOLD AS IS!!!!”
Who would take on a project this big and this expensive? Well, somebody bought the house and completely transformed it. It’s even got its own YouTube channel.
Mike Thakur bought the property, seeing its potential that’s left of it, and got to work. According to WKRN, the homeowner said, “Somebody’s put so much thought and care into it, and we thought we can salvage these pieces and bring some of the old house back but still kind of make it a new, modern twist version of that.”
He’s published his progress on the house on YouTube on his channel “I Bought A Burned Down Mansion,” and the video below was posted three days ago with the progress. It looks like a totally different house!!
