Never one to repeat what he’s done in the past or limit himself artistically, Aaron Lee Tasjan kicked off 2024 proving once again he refuses to ever be put in just one musical box. With his latest single, “Horror Of It All”, Tasjan has tapped into a darker early new wave sound he’s made all his own which has everyone guessing what this new upcoming record will sound like. I for one love that every single time Tasjan releases a new song, I never know what to expect and that’s the way I like my rock n roll with no rules whatsoever. Nashville based producer Gregory Lattimer co-wrote and produced “Horror Of It All” and I love that I can see hints of his signature sound in this song as well. I work with Lattimer on 2 records about a decade ago, and he honestly changed the way I record and view recording music, he’s a genius in the studio and outside the studio in every sense of the word.
In my very humble opinion, I have to say 2024 is the year of Aaron Lee Tasjan and Gregory Lattimer making the music the next generation will be ripping off and citing as an influence for years to come and I will die on this hill.
