It’s been seven months since Sum 41 announced their split after a 27-year career. They did, however, say that the split is not immediate. First, they’ll release another album and complete another tour.
The upcoming and final album from the band was just announced today. The new 20-track album, titled Heaven :x: Hell, will be released March 29th, featuring a “Heaven” side and a “Hell” side of the album. Along with it, the first single “Rise Up” has been released. Listen below!
In a press release, frontman Deryck Whibley said,
“Once I heard the music, I was confident enough to say, ‘This is the record I’d like to go out on. We’ve made a double album of pop punk and metal, and it makes sense. It took a long time for us to pave this lane for ourselves, but we did, and it’s unique to us.”
