What a guy.
Even though they already have a lot going on since their recent release of their new album, 72 Seasons, James Hetfield of Metallica recently went to a hospital in Vail, Colorado to visit wounded Ukrainian Soldiers.
According to Loudwire, Limbs for Liberty is a non-profit organization that was founded in Vail to support Ukrainians who have been injured during the war. Two soldiers named Roman Denysiuk and Igor Voinyi are receiving treatment at the hospital, and meeting James Hetfield was an unexpected, yet amazing surprise.
He said:
“Metallica’s songs are very popular in Ukraine. Growing up, we all listened to them and dreamed of seeing them.”
“It was unexpected. I didn’t even believe it at the first moment that it was him. It was very short, but it was a very warm meeting. It would be nice to meet him at a campfire and have a drink, instead of the hospital.”
