Following her induction into the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame, she reportedly decided to release a rock album.
She was recently on Jimmy Fallon, where she said:
“I’m a rock star now – that’s what they say! That was such an honor. You know, I’m making an album too because I have to live up to all that hype. Honestly, I was sincere – I didn’t mean to start any controversy, but when they said they wanted to put me in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, I always thought that was for people who spent their whole life working to be in rock ‘n’ roll. You don’t see Led Zeppelin in the Country Music Hall of Fame…although they could!”
“I’m good about timing and I always thought I’d want to do a rock ‘n’ roll record cause my husband is a rock ‘n’ roll freak,. So anyway, I thought now if I’m ever gonna do it, now’s the time.”
According to Loudwire, she will cover Prince, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, and Lynyrd Skynyrd. It will be titled Rock Star, and it will be released in 2023. Read more HERE.
