It feels like just yesterday when one of my favorite drummers in town (and dear friend), Derek Sprague, told me he was playing with a brand new band named Flight Attendant. I remember it was during a time when him and I both were feeling rather down n out in regards to music, so I wasn’t all that sure what to expect from this new band he was telling me about. A few months later he sent me their first single and I was instantly hooked. I felt at that time like I had heard it all when it came to music, Andrew Jaded Herrin was truly my name back then, but Flight Attendant was something new and fresh and had an excitement attached to it. Now all these years later, it makes me proud to see them killing it. They’re about to tour over seas, they’ve put out single after single always doing exactly what they want to do and playing by no one else’s rules but their own, and all along the way picking up a strong fanbase. Flight Attendant dropped “Crybaby” last Friday and the second I heard it, it reminded me what I truly love about this band. A band that is real and honest and commands you to follow them along on their journey through rock n roll. To me, Flight Attendant is a ray of rock n roll light in a world often full of darkness, and we are lucky to have them. Now do yourselves a favor and go turn this one up NOW.
