It’s crazy to think Violet Moons formed a little over 2 years ago. The band formed organically after the two were living together in 2020 and they’ve quickly become one of the bands to watch in Nashville these last 2 years. They are clearly no strangers to my show and I’ve been a fan since their first single “Hex A Man” dropped, so needless to say, I was stoked when I saw they were releasing a full length album. In an industry over run by band’s who simply release singles only, it always sets a band apart to me when they take on a full length album. Moments Fleeting dropped Friday and I was ready at 11pm Central to check it out and see what Violet Moons had in store for us. One of the things I truly love about this band is their music takes you on a trip or a journey if you will. They have a unique sound and vibe all their own that really sets them apart in an industry where most bands are trying to jump on the next trend. To see a real honest band like Violet Moons come along has really been a breath of fresh air. I find it perfectly fitting such a unique band named their album Moments Fleeting. For one, there aren’t a lot of bands blazing their own path like this these days and also the music is raw and real and you’ll be left wanting more the second the album is done. 2022 is the year of Violet Moons and I will die on this hill. Now do yourself a favor and turn this one up NOW.
