I’ve spent most of the summer on the road and one constant thing I’ve noticed, besides how much I’ve missed being out here, Nashville’s own The Criticals are taking the country by storm. Literally nearly every city I’ve been too, I’ve seen a tour poster for them coming to that town. Being the host of The Local Buzz for 8 years now, I can’t even begin to tell you how proud that makes me every time. The Criticals dropped “The Truth” on Friday and it’s been on repeat ever since. I remember seeing them live a few months ago and when they played this song, the crowd went nuts. I initially assumed it was a track I had missed out on, but then I couldn’t find it anywhere. That means the boys had a song not even released yet and their fans already knew it. That’s a pre Napster level of hype you don’t see much these days and I’m glad to see The Criticals are reminding us all exactly how music is supposed to be. Passionate, fun, and real. Now do yourself a favor and go turn this one up NOW.
