The one and only spelling bee I was in, I spelled the word bruise wrong. Since then, I’ve been fascinated with words – especially with the fact that new words are added to the dictionary every year. Who knows when you could start a new word trend and have your word added, TBH.
In 2021, Merriam-Webster added 455 new words to their dictionary. Some of my favorites? Dad bod, fluffernutter and one that I was constantly using anyways, amirite.
