Initially, you’d be right to assume that hip-hop-y artist Post Malone and metal-rockers, Megadeth have nothing in common; and you’d be right, for the most part. That is, however, until you take bassist David Ellefson out of the Megadeth equation, and plunge him into his new solo effort, featuring Malone’s “Over Now.”
Ellefson stated the Malone’s hip-hop can easily translate into rock covers because Malone “has roots in Nirvana and Motley Crue” (Loudwire).
