Hotter Than Chicken is a standard bouldering competition with a spicy twist. For every piece of Hot Chicken (or vegetarian equivalent) you eat, you're climbing score will be multiplied. Will the hot chicken help you earn extra points or will it be detrimental to your climbing? Who knows? There is only one way to find out!

It's horrible, hilarious, fun and like nothing else you've ever experienced. After the competition, competitors enjoy a wild block party complete with games, beer, food, and music as they prepare to watch the Open Final Showdown complete with lights, a DJ, surprises and some of the best routesetting in the nation.

This event has become so iconic and fun Nashville's Mayor David Briley proclaimed the first Saturday in August "Hotter than Chicken" Day in Nashville, in perpetuity! 
Proceeds to benefit Second Harvest Food Bank.
