The Yanny and Laurel thing was fun while it lasted, but once we realized it was scientifically possible to hear one or the other (and we’re not crazy after all), then we moved on. But THIS one has me a little more on-edge, because BOTH. I hear freaking both!!
This concoction was posted to Twitter last week, just shortly after the whole Yanny/Laurel thing messed with our heads. And ears. Although a bit different, because they claim you can actually hear both words… it just depends on which word you’re thinking of while watching it.
So what do you hear… “Brainstorm” or “Green Needle?”

I heard “Green Needle” the first two times, and now I can’t unhear “Brainstorm!!” I’ll even hear “brain needle” or “green storm.”
According to Huffington Post, “The word “brainstorm” is stronger in lower frequencies, and “green needle” is stronger in higher ones.”
But the audio kinda sucks, so it’s like it could be either of the two, or even a combo of the two. Oy… I’ve had about enough of these!
Also, not to burst your bubble if you still hear “Green Needle,” but this is an actual toy called Brainstorm.
