Front woman of In This Moment, Maria Brink, has some strong ambitions for 2018! She wants to eventually do a solo record, and from the way it sounds, she wants to show a quieter and more vulnerable side of her.
In an interview with Metal Hammer, she said:
“I’m starting to slowly write, no hard plans. I’m not exactly sure when I’m gonna do it, but it’ll be more of the obscure, intimate, quiet side of me. It would be just me and a piano and one dress and candles all over the whole stage.”
“Probably the only drums in it would be tribal drums and probably no distorted guitars. Just the softer side of me,” she says. “That’s who I am. [In This Moment guitarist and co-founder] Chris [Howorth] would not want to do an obscure, artistic, dream-scaping album. That’s not who he is.”
Just because it’s not set in stone, doesn’t mean we can’t get excited for it! Read more of the story from ABC Radio HERE, and read the rest of the interview from Metal Hammer HERE.
