As they say, back to reality. First day back at work after a nice week-long vacation. I wanted to go home to visit sometime this summer. I didn’t know when, but all it took was a quick glance at the Thursday lineup of this 3-day Rock Festival called Moondance Jam -Halestorm, The Pretty Reckless, and Vince Neil. Yes, please!
I didn’t know what to expect from Vince Neil. I’ve never seen Crue in concert before, and I didn’t know how it would be with a whole new band behind him, but I was impressed. The dude can move!

Halestorm was the main reason I went to the show, so I guess you could say it was the main reason I made the trek to Minnesota altogether. It doesn’t matter if you buy a ticket to see them at Cannery Ballroom, a huge festival crowd, or for cheap at The Basement. I’ve always left their show feeling inspired and in awe.
Needless to say, we didn’t leave right after the show. It was half past 1:00 in the morning at this point, but Joe invited us back to hang for a while, as if the night couldn’t have gotten any better. It was pretty funny to walk backstage and Lzzy be like “What are you doing here?!” Plus, my dad was with me at the show. He’s one of those kinds that doesn’t like big, tumultuous concerts. He’s even claimed he “wouldn’t walk across the street” to see some of his favorites, haha! But we got him to go. He fell in love with Lzzy when she was on That Metal Show on VH1, and it was so funny to see his eyes light up in front of Lzzy. Don’t tell my mom ; )
Lzzy, Joe, Arejay, and Josh are four of the most generous and personable people. Sure we have to talk about the show they just did, but they’ll look you in the eye and ask how life is and what you’ve been up to. They didn’t have to invite us backstage, but they did out of generosity. They really go out of thir way to support the people that support them back, and I’ll be smiling big when I spin their stuff on The Buzz for a while after this.
