Any day I get to snuggle with a bundle of adorable puppies is gonna be a good day!
Meet Churchill, Julep, Whinny, and Gamble- They’re four of many adoptable babies from our friends at Operation Education Animal Rescue based in Murfreesboro.
It wasn’t very long ago I was looking at a local community Facebook group when a woman was wondering where she could “find a breeder” that would “sell her a puppy.” I recommended Petfinder and she should consider adopting. She replied back with “Yeah, but they don’t have puppies, and I want a puppy.”
Little does she know that there are hundreds of pets of all ages available for adoption locally, including the four puppies we’re featuring this week! Churchill, Julep, Whinny, and Gamble are all from the same litter and they’re about 13 weeks old.
Remember, even if you can’t be a forever home to a new pet, you may want to consider fostering. Operation Education is entirely foster home-based, meaning there is not a single facility with the adoptable pets, but they’re in foster homes until they can find their forever homes.

GOOD NEWS! Abracadabra has been adopted!
Remember this little face? Abra was a featured Buzz Spotlight dog with a reduced adoption fee of $102.90, and he has been in search of his forever home for months. He came to visit us at The Buzz with Rowdy, another dog available for adoption, a couple months back (video HERE) and flaunted his high-energy, adorable self during his visit.
After spending several months in his foster home, thanks to Operation Education, Abra has finally found his forever home!
It’s pretty heartwarming to know that approximately 3.2 million pets in animal shelters are adopted each year. But unfortunately, nearly 1.5 million animals are euthanized, according to ASPCA, and the biggest reason for this is because of the abundance of animals and lack of available space to keep them any longer, or their “time’s up.” But because of local animal shelters like Operation Education based out of Murfreesboro, we’re teaming up to raise awareness of animals in the area looking for forever homes.
