Weezer is leaning all the way into nostalgia with the new music video for “C.E.O.” and we are here for it.
The hilarious clip pokes fun at the band’s own legacy as a pair of fictional record executives pressure Rivers Cuomo to recreate the iconic “Undone (The Sweater Song)” video because, apparently, “people are hungry for nostalgia.” When the band refuses to play along, they’re replaced by a star-studded “Weezer 2.0” featuring Tony Hawk, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Michael Peña, Giovanni Ribisi, and more.
It’s self-aware, ridiculous, and exactly the kind of weird humor Weezer has always done best.
