Ghost is heading back to the big screen.
According to Blabbermouth, the band has announced 2 Big To Rig, a new feature-length concert film capturing the massive Skeletour world tour. Filmed on 16mm during two sold-out shows in Mexico City, the movie focuses entirely on Ghost’s elaborate live production, complete with behind-the-scenes footage, the theatrical spectacle fans have come to expect, and the only professionally shot footage from the band’s phone-free tour. The film hits theaters and IMAX for a limited run beginning August 26th, giving fans one more chance to experience the Skeletour era on the biggest screen possible.
Considering Ghost turned their last concert film into the #1 hard rock cinema event in U.S. history, it’s probably a safe bet this one won’t exactly be a quiet night at the movies. If you missed the tour (or just want to relive it without someone holding their phone over your head for two hours) this might be your next trip to the theater.
