Former Metallica bassist, Jason Newsted has played for millions of people all around the world for the last four decades. Recently, though, he performed John Lennon’s “Imagine” acoustically for a few of the animals at the Busch Wildlife Sanctuary in Jupiter, Florida (where he lives).
This was part of a music enrichment event for the animals to stimulate curiosity and reduce stress. The sanctuary said that “Every animal responds differently, and it was incredible to watch their individual reactions to the sounds and rhythms throughout the session! A heartfelt thank you to Jason and his wife, Nicole, for not only being such passionate supporters of Busch Wildlife Sanctuary, but also for bringing this thoughtful and creative idea to life to help enhance the quality of care we provide to the animals who call Busch home.”
