Roomba Inventor Wants To Make A.I. Pets

Robotics pioneer Colin Angle who created the Roomba while at iRobot, has unveiled a new startup robot called “Familiar” that is designed to act like a lifelike pet companion. The goal is to target old people who are lonely but don’t want to or can’t care for a real animal.
