Downtown Nashville is trying to make rideshare chaos a little less… chaotic. (If that’s even possible…)
According to WKRN, the city is rolling out designated pickup zones for services like Uber and Lyft, aiming to cut down on the curbside free-for-all that happens when everyone spills out of bars, concerts, and Preds games at the same time. The idea is to move pickups to specific locations so traffic flows better, drivers know where to go, and streets aren’t completely gridlocked every weekend.
Cool idea, honestly.Aanything that makes downtown a little less of a bumper-car situation is a win. Designated pickup zones are great and all, but yeah… still probably not enough to get us to voluntarily go downtown on a Saturday night. HA!
