Yeah, we’re just gonna rip the band-aid off here, Nashville.
If you’re holding out hope for a white Christmas in Middle Tennessee… history says don’t. Snow’s been tracked in Nashville since 1884, and a “white Christmas” officially means at least one inch of snow on the ground. Sounds festive. Rarely happens.
The last time it actually counted? 2010, with a whopping 1.1 inches. We flirted with it in 2022, but a few sad snow crumbs don’t qualify. Sorry. Overall, Nashville’s odds of pulling off a legit white Christmas sit at around 1%. Basically lottery numbers.
So what about this year? Short answer: Nope. Long answer: Absolutely not. The forecast is looking warm, dry, and wildly un-Christmassy, with temps possibly creeping into the 70s.
So cancel the snowman plans, fire up the grill, and enjoy your tan-line Christmas. Nashville weather stays undefeated.
