We’ve been sharing that GIF for years (it’s also the look we give Hayley when she said Shinedown puts on a better show than Metallica), and it’s been going around since 2017. So who actually is this guy??

It’s a guy named Drew from San Francisco and he’s 39 years old now… and he had no idea that this GIF he made would’ve launched him into the public eye and be one of the most recognizable faces on the internet. According to NY Post, “Scanlon took to X over the weekend to encourage people to donate to the National MS Society, and his post went viral, racking up 21 million views, 408,000 likes, and 38,000 retweets.”

His post read, “Hi internet! I’m Drew and THIS IS MY FACE,” he wrote alongside the iconic clip that cemented him in internet culture forever.”

I always thought he looked like Cary Elwes, but okay.
