Florida Woman Throws Down on Alligator to Save Her Dog

If there’s one thing we’ve learned from stories like this, there are few things people won’t do to save their pets.

Fighting off bears? You bet. Punching alligators? Absolutely!

Danie Wright was walking her shih tzu puppy when a five-foot-long gator struck, snagging the pup’s collar with its teeth, and heading toward the water with him.

That’s when Wright sprung into action, punching the gator over and over until it opened its mouth enough for her to pull her dog away. The gator did drag its teeth down her arm, but she was still able to flip it on its back, allowing the brave owner and pup to escape to the safety of their home.
