You’ve seen people use trick birthday candles where they either have a “sparkler” effect, or they’re the ones that re-ignite the second someone tries to blow them out, but you’ve probably never seen this.
As this teen in Germany was celebrating his 16th birthday with family, it got to the portion of the night where they sing “Happy Birthday” (or rather, “Zum Geburtstag viel Glück”) and light the candles for the cake!
However, the “candles” turned out to be small, fountain-style fireworks as chaos exploded and family ran around the room to avoid the sparks, leaving the birthday boy to fend for himself.
