During their concert at Soldier Field in Chicago on Friday night (August 29), My Chemical Romance surprised fans by bringing out Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan to perform his band’s Grammy-winning 1995 hit, “Bullet With Butterfly Wings.” MCR has recently incorporated the Pumpkins’ track into their Long Live the Black Parade Tour setlist, performing it as a tribute to the influential Chicago band. “This song is the ultimate rock defiance to me. It is the best rock n’ roll song ever fu**ing made,” frontman Gerard Way said in his introduction to the Corgan collaboration. Way earlier shared how impactful attending the Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness Tour was on the band, saying “We saw that and was like, ‘We would love to do this, it would be real fu**ing amazing.” Corgan added his thoughts about the experience on Instagram, writing, “Great fun! And fantastic gig by the boys. Just killed it in front of a massive Chicago crowd.” (Rolling Stone)

What's the WORST part of going to a concert in Nashville now?
Parking costs more than the ticket
Waiting 45 minutes for an Uber that smells like weed
Post-show traffic that somehow still exists at 11pm on a Tuesday
The “convenience fee” being more inconvenient than convenient
Trying to leave Bridgestone with 18,000 other people at once
Voting Ends: Never
Tue May 12
