Jillian Lauren, bestselling author and wife of Weezer bassist Scott Shriner, has been granted a delay in her LAPD shooting case following a court appearance in Los Angeles on Wednesday (June 18). She faces charges of gun assault for allegedly firing at police officers first during a chaotic scene in her backyard in April. Lauren, 51, pleaded not guilty to the charges, and her defense attorney requested more time to review extensive video evidence before the key hearing, which the judge granted despite initial skepticism. Lauren agreed to the postponement and a follow-up hearing is now set for July 22. The LAPD claims Lauren fired her gun during the encounter, which was captured on body-worn cameras and home-surveillance footage. She was eventually arrested on charges of firing a gun with gross negligence and assault with a semiautomatic firearm. Lauren and Shriner have both remained silent about the incident, with the bassist performing with Weezer at Coachella only days after the arrest. (Rolling Stone)

What's the WORST part of going to a concert in Nashville now?
Parking costs more than the ticket
Waiting 45 minutes for an Uber that smells like weed
Post-show traffic that somehow still exists at 11pm on a Tuesday
The “convenience fee” being more inconvenient than convenient
Trying to leave Bridgestone with 18,000 other people at once
Voting Ends: Never
Wed May 13
