Two Nashville creatives started an online petition to rename the city’s airport after musician Dolly Parton. So far, the Change.org petition has amassed over 50,000 signatures. “Dolly’s a great Tennessean and great unifier who adds legitimacy to the south because her story resonates with everyone,” comedians Lydia Popovich said. “All people smile when they talk or think about her — she’s the best of the south.” Change.org even featured the petition on its Instagram, and noted that less than 5% of the world’s airports are named after women. “We could all be Departin’ from Parton!” the petition description reads. What Nashville mystery needs to be solved?
Why is there traffic at 11pm on a Tuesday?
Why does my parking spot cost more than my dinner?
How many upgrades does BNA even need?
Who keeps approving buildings with absolutely zero parking?
Why did my rent increase when my apartment still has the same carpet from 2009?
Voting Ends: Never
