Despite the recent police incident that led to bassist Scott Shriner‘s wife facing attempted murder charges, Weezer still delivered a high-energy performance at Coachella on Saturday afternoon (April 12). The band thrilled the crowd with classic hits like “Say It Ain’t So” and “Beverly Hills,” before surprising the crowd with a cover of Metallica‘s “Enter Sandman.” While Weezer’s 45-minute afternoon set was well-received by their die-hard fans, the performance was overshadowed by the controversial arrest of Jillian Lauren Shriner, who was booked for attempted murder last week following a shootout with police in the Eagle Rock neighborhood of Los Angeles. Weezer’s Coachella appearance kicks off a series of festival engagements for the band, featuring scheduled sets at Glastonbury, Soundside Festival, and When We Were Young festivals, as well as an upcoming European tour. What's the WORST part of going to a concert in Nashville now?
Parking costs more than the ticket
Waiting 45 minutes for an Uber that smells like weed
Post-show traffic that somehow still exists at 11pm on a Tuesday
The “convenience fee” being more inconvenient than convenient
Trying to leave Bridgestone with 18,000 other people at once
Voting Ends: Never
Thu May 14
Nashville, TN, USA
Partly cloudy
