Unfortunately, the band “peaced out” earlier than we anticipated.
Aerosmith officially issued a statement on Friday about the band calling it quits after Steven Tyler’s vocal injury that’s “just not possible” to recover from.
The statement says:
“As you know, Steven’s voice is an instrument like no other. He has spent months tirelessly working on getting his voice to where it was before his injury. We’ve been him struggling despite having the best medical team by his side. Sadly, it’s clear, that full recovery from his vocal injury is just not possible. We have made a heartbreaking and difficult, but necessary, decision – as a band of brothers – to retire from the touring stage.
Sorry, Nashville. The October 20th show has, again, been canceled. Full statement below.
