So, 1/20 of an acre costs HOW MUCH?!?
Obviously, Broadway has become overrun with honky tonks and bars with a country singer’s name slapped on it, and those establishments can’t be cheap to build and operate. But just how much does a piece of it cost?
We came across this article and Instagram video (watch below) of a tiny slab of land on Broadway that was bought by an investment firm. The address is 201 Broadway, which is right in the thick of the honky tonks. The 2,178-square-foot space served as a parking lot, but it was reportedly purchased for $16.25 million (!!), which comes to nearly $7,500 per square foot. According to The Real Deal, this is one of the highest prices ever paid for land in Nashville.
It’s obvious that most likely ANOTHER country dude’s bar will go there, but you can read more about the purchase from The Real Deal HERE.
