Signups are now officially open for the second annual Metallica Marching Band Competition. The heavy metal legends saw nearly 500 entries last year from college and high school bands that came up with their own unique interpretations of Metallica’s music, with prizes valued at $200,000 given out to the winners. This year there are even more chances to win, with first, second, and third place prizes offered in each of the five categories – College (Division 1), College (Divisions 2 & 3), High School (Large), High School (Medium) and High School (Small). Winners in this year’s Metallica Marching Band Competition will receive instruments and gear for the music programs of their respective schools, provided by Metallica in partnership with Sweetwater and event sponsor TAMA. Winners will be announced in January 2025. (Blabbermouth)

Parking costs more than the ticket
Waiting 45 minutes for an Uber that smells like weed
Post-show traffic that somehow still exists at 11pm on a Tuesday
The “convenience fee” being more inconvenient than convenient
Trying to leave Bridgestone with 18,000 other people at once
Voting Ends: Never
