At 12am New Year Day Ryan Adams reminded us all that he is truly one of the most prolific artists in the music world by dropping not 1 record, but 5 records all at once. Not one to usually play by the industry rules, Adams has been known to release multiple records in a year before, but dropping 5 in one night is a new level of rock n roll and I am HERE for it. After listening to each of the records a few times, I was floored to hear each record is unique in it’s own way and there’s no filler whatsoever. 5 solid records that could’ve all been released separately over the course of a few years and each stood on their own. I’m hopeful 2024 will be the year of artists playing by their own rules, and Ryan Adams is clearly leading the charge.
