Nashville’s Broadway Bridge Closes for Two Months

Heads up if you’re heading down this weekend, or any time between now and the beginning of September! The Broadway Bridge will be closed for maintenance for the next two months, now until September 7th.

TDOT issued a statement saying:

“We cannot physically widen this bridge. We know that study shows traffic is going to increase. We also know that pedestrian traffic and the excitement around Nashville is also increasing, and we know that it takes a lot to maintain both of those modes of transportation.”

The bridge will be completely replaced. The new bridge will have three lanes in each direction, and they will also be widening the sidewalk. Read more from FOX 17 HERE.
