When New Candys announced a lineup change with a few new members, to be honest I wasn’t sure what to expect. Was this the end of the band that blew me away when they opened for And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead back in September?? (I actually said that outloud to myself at the time). I was worried when I saw their post that maybe the band would be slowing down, but now here in 2023, nothing could be further from the truth. New Candys teamed up with Bugo and dropped “Everything Is F**king Boring” on Friday and the band is stronger than ever. Their sound has such a rad unique quality to it and if this song is ANY indication of what’s to come for the rest of the year, I’m gonna go ahead and start camping outside of the record store tonight. (remember when we actually did that?).
Here’s to 2023 and one of the most important bands in rock n roll right now, New Candys. Now
