Imagine sharing the exact first and last name of somebody famous. Surely you’ll get mistaken for that person eventually, right? Well this guy in the UK named Oli Sykes shares a name with Bring Me The Horizon’s lead singer, and now he’s actually getting fan mail.
The (non-famous) Oli was a college student back in 2008 them Bring Me The Horizon’s second studio album was released. According to Loudwire, he said, within a week of it hitting the shelves, that changed. My inbox started piling up with messages – predominantly from teenage girls – desperately trying to contact Oli Sykes. I had about 30 or 40 people telling me how much they loved ‘me’ and ‘my album.’”
