Now THIS is an internet trend that I can get behind.
The beloved Betty White would have turned 100 years young on Monday, January 17th. As you know, she was an avid animal lover like myself, and like many of us! The hashtag #BettyWhiteChallenge has picked up a lot of momentum the last few weeks, and for a good reason. The mission is to donate $5 in her name to a local animal shelter or rescue. I can’t think of a better way to honor her AND help rescue pets!
If I could make a suggestion, Operation Education Animal Rescue is an incredible rescue group out of the Murfreesboro area, and The Buzz has worked with them for years. They provide support and relief to rescue pets and owners, and they have multiple programs to make this happen. In their words, “Our mission is to emphasize the importance of being a responsible pet owner, to provide outreach programs for individuals with pet needs, and to emphasize the importance of spaying/neutering.”

Let’s hope this is a big movement, and I hope this becomes a thing every year!
