Those “2020 is really gonna be my year” people have been awfully quiet for awhile now. Since about March-ish. 2020 has taken a toll on all of us, and if you’ve picked up some bad habits this year, you’re not alone. It’s amazing how it’s almost felt more socially acceptable to be lazier, eat poorly, and stop working out this year because things are different. SWNS Digital conducted a survey to determine the top bad habits of the year because of the pandemic.
According to SWNS, “The survey polled 2,000 nationally representative Americans (approximately 800 of whom are over 21 and working from home) to examine the bad habits people have picked up during lockdown and the impact it’s had on their planning for the new year.”
The Top 10 Worst Habits We Picked Up in 2020
- Snacking more throughout the day – 40%
- Eating more comfort foods – 39%
- Not eating as many fruits and vegetables as they should – 33%
- Drinking too much caffeine – 32%
- Eating more junk food – 32%
- Not eating three meals a day – 31%
- Drinking too much alcohol – 26% (only shown to those 21+)
- Not exercising – 25%
- Staying in pajamas all day – 23%
- Oversleeping during a work day while working from home (only shown to those WFH) – 11%
Is it bad that this kinda makes me feel better? Like I’m not the only one that’s had more caffeine, alcohol, junk food, and time in my pajamas than normal?!
Hey 2021, our expectations are high. Read the rest of the study from SWNS Digital HERE.
