It’s crazy to think it’s been 6 years since Kreeps put out the record “Spirit Clinic” and even crazier to think it’s been a decade since they laid down the music for Red Dead Redemption’s “Undead Nightmare” video game. The wait was well worth it though when earlier this year they released their new album “Moon Stand Still, Us Fools Prefer Darkness”. The album is a standout in 2020 and gives us a new take on the Kreeps sound we all know and love. Sadly there have been no tour dates to promote the album since there are no shows happening in 2020 so far, but that’s not getting sole member Dom Kreep down one bit. “I’m just thankful anyone has found the record, as there are more pressing and important things going on this year”, Dom said when he called into The Local Buzz on Sunday night.
Being no stranger to writing scores, Dom has also spent this year busy writing music for the upcoming animated series “Long Gone Gulch” . “The music was right up my alley, I love the sort of old school twangy country vibe”, Dom said. The show has no official release date yet, but is expected later this year. If the music of Red Dead Redemption Undead Nightmare is any preview of what’s to come, this new score will be well worth the wait.
