Courtesy of StaindIt’s been nine years since Staind released a new album — a length of time some might classify as “awhile” — but it appears that wait is nearing its end.
Speaking to Godsmack‘s Sully Erna on his weekly web show, frontman Aaron Lewis confirmed that new Staind material is indeed in the works.
“I’m working on new Staind s***,” Lewis says from his home in Nashville.
Staind’s most recent album is their 2011 self-titled effort; the group broke up the following year. After a few one-off performances over the years, Staind played several comeback shows in 2019, and planned to tour with Disturbed this summer. However, that run was postponed to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
