Zach Ryan, also musically known as Wanderers, hasn’t wasted any time during quarantine. Ryan announced in mid March he planned to release a new single via his bandcamp every Friday. His mission was to stay focused on music in these trying times.
For the past 8 weeks, Ryan has released a new single every Friday. He plays all the instruments and records the songs at his house in East Nashville. He offers them up on his bandcamp page where fans can pay what they want for them.
Given the pandemic not allowing live music, it’s his way of keeping busy and keeping the music coming.
A global pandemic and now murder hornets arriving in the states would be enough to discourage a lot of musicians from such a mission, but then last Sunday heavy winds from the storms in Tennessee knocked the power out to a lot of the greater Nashville area. It looked like Ryan’s consecutive streak of releases may finally come to an end. With his power being out Sunday through Wednesday night, Ryan got to work on his next release right away and managed to release it Friday as planned. Thus continuing his plan to release a song every Friday.
Zach Ryan plans to keep the streak going and releasing music every Friday. You can here all the releases HERE.
Here’s to hoping he doesn’t encounter any further obstacles along the way, but as we’ve already seen, he doesn’t appear to let obstacles stand in his way.
