I’m sorry, what?
Okay, I’m all about staying inside, sanitizing, and limiting contact with others as long as this thing passes as quickly and as safely as possible. But when I hear news like this, then I’m not happy! Everything is pretty up in the air as to when the coronavirus craziness will subside. Some are saying weeks, some say months, but this guy? Next Fall. =/
An expert, a vice provost for global initiatives and director of the Healthcare Transformation Institute at the University of Pennsylvania, was asked by the New York Times as to when he thinks this will be fully back to normal. His answer:
“Larger gatherings — conferences, concerts, sporting events — when people say they’re going to reschedule this conference or graduation event for October 2020, I have no idea how they think that’s a plausible possibility.”
“I think those things will be the last to return. Realistically we’re talking fall 2021 at the earliest.”
I dunno, man. I’m gonna need a Foo Fighters fix a lot sooner than THAT.
